Over the two years since mainnet launch, the Iron Fish blockchain has produced more than 1.3 million blocks and processed over 2.9 million transactions. Across five years, we’ve built a production‑grade privacy chain and a meaningful suite of tools—including privacy‑preserving USDC via the Chainport bridge. Yet because privacy often requires bridging, most users still rely on relatively centralized bridges, introducing security trade‑offs that keep many from exercising their basic right to transact privately.
Iron Fish remains steadfast in its founding mission: bringing privacy to every user and every blockchain. To that end, we’re launching Iron Fish v2. If users can’t come to us, we’ll meet them where they are.
Iron Fish v2 will deploy the Iron Fish privacy engine across additional chains, delivering native, chain‑level privacy to a broader set of users, while the Iron Fish blockchain continues to serve as the most capable privacy engine.

Global policy is converging on “privacy with accountability.” The EU is implementing MiCA alongside a new AML authority; FATF’s Travel Rule is being enforced across jurisdictions; the US is increasing oversight of mixers; and the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore are rolling out comprehensive regimes. The upshot: compliant, selective‑disclosure privacy is becoming the standard for mainstream adoption.
